What is a Tutor Center?
WHAT MAKES A TUTOR CENTER DIFFERENT
FROM A PRIVATE OR GOVERNMENT SCHOOL?
It is very important to understand that a Tutor Center (Like ours @ St Ronalds) IS NOT A SCHOOL but assists parents and students in specific subjects or with your Homeschool curriculum.
A school need to be registered with the Department of Education and entails a process that independent schools must undertake with provincial departments of education (PDEs) in order to operate in South Africa in accordance with the requirements of the Constitution of South Africa and the South African Schools Act, No 84 of 1996.
When making use of the services of a tutoring center, the legal onus is on the parent to register the child with the Department of Education, whereas the school is responsible for this duty at private and government schools.

Most often, you will find tutor centers have a lower number of children per tutor ratio and the focus on individual attention is a lot higher than in mainstream schooling.

It is important to understand that your child will get the same level of education via the curriculum provider you choose and the Tutor center as at a government or private school and even a Cambridge School.
